A good basic stereo system and I am happy with it. I have it in my bedroom - which is on the small side - with the remote by the bed. The tuner picks up all the stations I listen to very clearly. CD player is fine with one very small issue - if you listen at very low volume, and if the unit is fairly close to you, and if the environment is quiet, and finally if you have excellent hearing - you MAY be able to hear some mechanical noise which sounds like the disc spinning. This is rarely an issue, I have only noticed it a couple of times.
I do like the remote which is fairly instinctive and easy to operate in the dark. The speakers sound good.
A good system for a small room, office, dorm room or the like.

I've owned a Onkyo stereo/surround sound unit in the past. After downsizing and moving into a small condo in Hawaii I needed something smaller. This unit packs a lot of punch for its size. It is also an attractive unit and fits nice in its limited space. The sound quality is typical Onkyo quality and fills the room. The remote is easy to program and easy to use. Speakers are very good though you may want to purchase a spool of speaker wire prior to the units arrival. The wire that ships with the unit is a little on the short side. Bottom line-buy it.

this is a great player but i wish it would have continuous play feature. radio is good also.

I was looking for a small receiver to have in my family room that I could connect to my TV and i pod. I did not have a lot of space in my TV cabinet and the Onkyo system worked out great. It has nice sound and an easy remote. I would recommend it for easy listening.

Great buy. Of course, Denon will probably sound better, but it's $100 more. So, if money is not an object, grab the Denon, or even better if you don't need a radio go for the audioengine or Kanto i5s. But, if money is a consideration, then this is without a doubt the best quality stereo for the money. The ipod sounds great through it, but cds sound even better.
